Night time skin care routine

Skin care  isn't something people really love to blog about because we all know its no where near as fun as makeup. But skin care is ultra important so here's a list of all the things i use and my opinions on them!

Here is all the products I use on my face. I don't really use all these in the same night as too many products can damage your skin! But I always always always make sure I at least remove my makeup. It's soooo important you remove your makeup because your skin absorbs all the nasty chemicals in the makeup and makes your skin dry(sometimes really oily), spotty and difficult to beautifully apply makeup the next day!

step 1) removing eye makeup and face makeup/cleansing the face.

These eye makeup remover pads are roughly £3.99.  My fav thing about them is I have really sensitive skin and simple really knows how to target people like me! their products are really natural and non perfumed which means its ideal for skin like mine that needs a little bit more attention! The same applies for these makeup wipes by Simple. Really kind to every skin type and totally worth buying. These are also £3.99!

To remove makeup and cleanse I also loooorve this product. It's the 'cleanse and polish' hot cloth cleanser by Liz Earle in rose and lavender. It removes makeup really easy and smells super nice which makes you feel allll fresh. It also 'polishes' the skin too! I use this instead on makeup wipes if I have more time to spare! It's supposed to be used with a heated up wet cloth as this opens the pores to absorb the good ingredients. It's around £20 to buy in the shops. Pretty expensive but  you pay for what you get with this!

2) Face wash!

My two favorite face washes are the Neutrogena visiby clear in pink grapefruit and the Boots tea tree and witch hazel foam wash. Neutrogena are an amazing brand for people who want to eliminate nasty spots. This face wash does that as well as sorting out black heads and making your skin lovely and cleaaaan. It smells yummy and as you can see it's nearly all gone i love it so much!

The boots one isn't quite as lovely as the neutrogena but it does the job and feels really nice on the skin seen as its foam. It contains tea tree and witch hazel which our skin loves. It deeply cleanses to make the skin really healthy :) the Neutrogena one was £4.90 when i bought it and the Boots one was £3.60

3) the face scrub/ mask.
Best. Product. Ever! Soap and Glory are so popular right now and a few of their products are overrated but most of them deserve all the praise! This face scrub/face mask is one of the best i have ever used. It contains the little particles and help exfoliate the skin and get rid of any dead skin but also can be used as a face mask if you just simply leave it on for a few extra mins!
It should only be used a few times a week as face scrubs are harsh on the skin. But using this every week deffo sorts out my spots and helps with pores and blemishes. The packaging is really eye catching which is rare for any face wash products! It's so quirky its another great reason to buy it! Its approx £7.50

4) Moisturizer!
Last but not least! Another simple product hehehe. (swear im not addicted they're just so good for my skin) Leaves skin radiant and in tip top condition without making the skin all oily and yucky. Moisturizer really does need to be used after face masks ect to give back the natural oils the skin produces. Therefore I totally recommend this! Bargain price of £2!

I recently purchased some new brushes from Ebay and i love them! They were £11 with free postage and packaging which was such a bargain as the brushes are really good quality.

The brushes came in this little brush holder. I love this as it actually looks really nice and sophisticated for the price! Also its nice to keep them all in order and have something other than my makeup bag to carry them around in.

These are the brushes! (sorry for bad quality) There are 20 brushes in the set but the seller has sets that are smaller and larger and all different coloured handles and brushes. The set has all the essential brushes in and also some ones that will be a bonus to have. I love doing eye makeup so having so many eye shadow brushes is perfect for me.

If your not wanting a full set of 20 there are really 7 brushes that are most essential:

1) the foundation brush- soft, flatter towards the end of the hairs and of decent size to spread the liquid out easier.
2) blusher brush- soft, medium sized brush. These come in several sizes. You can get larger more fan shaped ones useful for bronzer and ones that are more dome shaped that i kind more useful applying blusher on the apples of your cheeks.
3) eyeshadow brush- small stiff brush usually rounded.
4)eyeshadow blending brush- This is a little fluffier than your eyeshadow brush as it needs to make the eyeshadow less severe and blend into the next colour
5)eyeliner brush- This brush is either a thin line or an angled brush. This creates a straight smooth line
6) brow brush- This is always a square flat shape and angled to create a really neat shape
7)Lip brush- A small flat round tipped brush. The lip brush applies the lipstick neater and usually makes the lipstick last a lot longer.

If you want the name of the seller comment below! thankyou xxx

2013

2013 is going to be a BIG year for me! This year many events are coming up that I'm both excited and nervous about!(no order)
  • Prom
  • Leeds festival
  • Holiday to LA and San Diego
  • Leaving school
  • Exam results
  • 17th birthday
  • Boyfriends birthday London trip
  • Starting college!
The event I'm most looking forward to is probably Leeds festival! because i have previously been twice but this time us girlies are camping! It's really going to be soooo exciting. We have already started planning it eeeek! Already Eminem has been announced and Alt-J and I am a huge fan of Eminem and i really love Alt-J too so i think it will be amazing.

The scariest events are deffinately Exam results and starting college! I do try hard at school but I am a rubbish reviser. Fingers crossed I'll knuckle down and do ultra well and be proud of myself. I'm nervous for college because it's new surroundings, new people and new subjects! I aim to take English lit, Psychology, Business and Media. Hopefully I'll enjoy all these as they all interest me.

Outfit of the day

Hello everyone! For my first real post i thought I'd better post something i know that people are interested in and I myself am too! So here is an outfit of the day...

Top: Topshop, £12. I purchased it in the sale and I'm sure the original price was around £20. The top has black french writing down the center and is a tank top that comes low at the sides. I love these kind of tops because they are just so comfortable and match so many clothes!

Skirt: Topshop, £20. This skirt is soooo popular at the moment and i can see why! Its multipurpose; dress it up with a cropped tee or a blouse or alternatively dress it down with a jersey top like me.

Scarf: Primark, £4. I don't have an image for the scarf! because my phone deleted it tut tut. But the scarf basically contains the colours; navy, mustard yellow and primary red. For the money this scarf was a bargain and i can see it sneaking it's self into many more of my outfits!

Jacket: Zara, roughly £40. The jacket was such an amazing buy. I swear everyone must own a leather!(or pleather if your short on money like me). The jacket is ultimate biker chick and is such a nicer alternative from a cotton jacket or a huge coat.

Accessories: Neclace £2 Primark. Such a bargain as it is good quality and the old famous cross! Earrings(that you can't see) Vivienne westwood (ebay) Originally my boyfriends so not sure of the price.
